Are there two types of vegan?

Are there two types of vegan?

I thought I was vegan. It turns out I was wrong. As the term has changed in recent years to encompass a growing number of plant-based foodies, it has morphed from a way of describing those who exclude animal products from their diet, to those who replace them. What is One Planet Parent?

We provide inspiration for simple living, decluttering, saving money, going vegan, unschooling and learning through travel for parents who want to do things differently.

We see the role of the parent as not just one of raising children, but creating a generational shift in perspective and providing the skills, knowledge and motivation for young people to live well with less, create a connection to nature and other people, and to care deeply about the Earth. Let’s bring up a generation of critical thinkers, problem solvers, outdoor lovers, frugal living experts and environmental activists, not passive consumers and followers of fashion. We only have one planet, and as parents we have an opportunity to create change and mitigate the mistakes of the past. Let’s lead by example.
