Walking is my life’s purpose. Just walking. Using my body and my senses. I don’t need a greater goal, or task.
Walking. Seeing and experiencing the world around me. Gaining new insight; a fresh perspective. Just being active and present in the world. Connecting with nature, with other humans, other creatures. Learning to accept and appreciate this moment, as it is, right now. Moving through time and space, breathing and soaking it in.
It’s simple, yet surprisingly difficult to achieve, shut away, as we so often are, in buildings surrounded by a debilitating array of comforts. Addicted to, and obsessed by, our routines, our gadgets, our habits and our lifestyle.
Let’s all just stop, go outside, and walk the earth.
